GTP VS. GXP (your help needed)

What is the best year for the gtp? Which out of the gtp and the gxp is the best platform for mods? I like the gtp more then the gxp but want to make sure that I don't get in to something that will waste my time if I decide to do a little modding.. I want a platform that could handle a little power

They're both the same. As for as the gtps go I prefer 01-03. I have an 02

GXPs are very limited on mods. The trans missing in the same as the other cars too.

If I was looking for a GTP, I would get a 98-02 year personally.

GTP's can handle some more power than stock, doing it right is the key to prevent harm to the motor and or transmission.

id suggest a gtp 98-02 if you want to mod. mods are plentiful! the gxp has limited aftermarket and is costly. plus the transmission is already weak stock so that would probably blow with mods.

They're hit or miss.

Better to avoid them than get stuck with a slew of odd issues.

true the only problem i had with mine is the gas gauge and power steering
