GTP vs. Grand Am GT

Ok so i have a grand am gt and my cousin,also a member here on Grand prix forum, has a GTP. Last night we were driving around and i wanted to no how bad my car got smoked by a gtp. So we pull up next to each other rolling around 10mph, and we take off to my surprise he only beat my by 1.5 car links, which isnt to bad for a 3400 vs 3800 supercharged. But then we did pull 30 and he ripped me a new a$$hole,lol

and i do wanna put a supercharger or a turbo on it, but going through college wont allow me the cash flow to do it
 


yea, i no, right before i got my car there was a regal gs but the cluster didnt display the millage so my dad wouldnt let me get it, then right after i got my car a gtp went for sale around my area, so i was close to getting a 3800 supercharged
 
Well, ya guy. Google it. It's been done...or youtube it...if you got the know-how...you can do just about anything nowadays.
 


3800 swaps on GA's are REALLY hard. They can be done, but it will BE your life if you attempt it. You car will be out of commission for WEEKS, no doubt. They don't like to play nice together, so getting it to run right will be a challenge.

Otherwise I vote snail. They have supercharger kits, but you'd still be pulling less than a stock GTP and you'd be paying about 3k for a new 3400 s/c kit.
 
i wont even do either of the to unless i had a second car and the money to it, so basically its a dream that prob. wont be fulfilled, and if i were to dump 3k into this car for a supercharged engine id just buy a GP GTP,lol

Yeah, get a GTP and just delete all the other seats, the audio, the a/c, the spare kit, etc. you'd be rolling pretty damn close to the same weight as a 3800 GA

I take it the GTP lit the tires up pretty well from 10mph? And i vote just buy a GTP and do some simple bolt-ons. You'll love it.
 
yes i raced him haha i lost traction.. but as soon as my tires hooked up it was all over. i want to rematch him from a dig and then we will see how many more car lengths i get on him
