gtp vs 6.0 gto



Is the goat a auto or stick. You should be able to beat the ls1 goat but the ls2 might be a challenge . Don't go from a dig he will eat you.

Honestly with your mods and his i feel it's the drivers mods over the cars mods at this point

Coming from a 5.7 goat owner I lost to my 3.4 pulley Gtp on a 40 roll till 90. My cars completly bone stock also and is the auto.
That being said I own the slowest goat ever produced :)
 
my xp/i.c/gen5 and perfect tune on its best day, lost 2 cars against my exhaust/intake/tuned gto. 60 roll, the gp never got ahead, by 120 i had a full 2 cars, and kept pulling

Thats a vid with a gto vs a imp (gotitforcheap) and from what he told me his setup wasnt as much as what you have (at that time) and i think that gto had a intake straightpipe and a tune.. u will win plus you are lighter! Just get some vids

Fwiw I ran a 07 GP GT from a 30 punch in my stock 6.0 GTO last night. Gp had 3.4 pulley, tune, headers, blah blah. I walked away from him pretty good..... In 4th gear. You have quite a bit more mods, but even with his intake and tune he's probably putting down 370ish whp. You are probably at 320ish whp. That GTO should walk you, but make him work for it!
 


I think it will come down to driver at this point, I think with the GP being a little lighter it will give it an edge on the extra power of the GTO. For 1/4 racing the whp rating being that close you need to consider what is the wtq/lbs on each car, after all Horsepower sells cars, Torque wins races, this is why Honda's suck 90% of the time.

As long as its not for money, race him, video it, and have fun. If you lose you lose, nothing lost but some pride.
