• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

GTP vs. 350z

Since you know so much about these cars, and yours is so fast...

Please tell me how a Series III valvetrain is any different than a Series II...and how it is going to pull up top with the specs and power curve these motors have?

But yeah, I'm sure your 160~ WHP car is superawesomefast.

Newsflash.

It isn't.

And it won't be without boost...ever.

G35 wasn't racing you, VQ's will crap on blower cars in the top end; and your "buddy" with the modded blower car was probably knocking 14* @ WOT with a pulley that was probably too small for that car.

Not sure how an HV3, downpipe, overkilled N/A car with some sweet MSD crap ignition is fast...but we can always pretend.

Follow the yellow brick road, Toto.

Wow... lol.

Speaking as someone that had a somewhat serious NA build (GT1 cam, .045" MLS head gaskets, p&p heads, plus a LOT more), I believe that the 350Z wasn't trying or doesn't know how to shift at all. I've had my Monte dynoed when it was NA, I ran it down the drag strip when it was NA, and while I could have beat stock GTP's, all they had to do was throw an intake and exhaust on their cars and then they were already faster then me.

Not anymore though :D

I would believe a modded N/A car could pull on a stock S/C car. I was side by side with an SSEi with just an intake, HV3 and 2.5" DP. and i have vids.

What year SSEi are we talking about? If you raced a Series1 SC SSEi then I believe you would have won, but a SII L67 car not a chance. If the person didn't know how to drive you may walk them til the 1/8 but not much more. If it was a newer witha S3 L32 you are so far in denial its not worth putting into words. Weight does make a difference but not that much... at least not in the power bracket you reside in with your 200whp (at best) NA V6.

There is a reason ALL car companies are going boosted to get power. NA just doesn't cut it. You either go all go with no efficiency and no reliability or you don't go and can have both. With boost you can drive easy and be efficient, or WOT and scream away. Its not rocket science, its common sense.

This thread makes me ROFLMAO... keep it going.

Oh, and hows that mower running now?
