GTP or GXP?

I currently own a stock 98 gp gt coupe with 102k.bought it last July with 89k for $3700. It's my first grand prix and only my 2nd car. I really like it and am considering selling and getting a 2004+ . I would love a GXP, but from what I hear the ls4 isn't that great, but I wouldn't be modding it more than intake/exhaust. Are all the suspension/brake components worth the money?

On the the other hand I might just save some money upfront and get a GTP, and possibly put more money in mods. But still nothing crazy. Besides tapshift and 3.29(?) gears whats the difference with the comp g package?

Any help or advice would be much appreciated, I'm still pretty lost with what I want to do

Meh...snail the car you got.

Go faster and save money on insurance and everything else that'll break.

Gtp pro's: cheaper up front, cheaper/more mods available

Gxp pro's: appearance, more power stock if you intend to remain stock

The comp g's also have better looking wheels and different shocks

I like my car, but it got hit on the drivers side. Some d*** in an econoline pulling out of a parking spot. Lots of dents of all sizes on my door and quarter panel. My mirror is still connected but bounces around and my window goes down about halfway now. I don't really want to spend the money or time to fix it. I want a newer one, and a faster one.
Do the 06 and 07 gt's come with the comp g shocks?

And how much would i need to mod to make 300hp like the GXP?
