Gtp Daytona vs. 2001 vw passat 4 motion

Raced a friend of mine yesterday. Took off from a stop, he had me off the line, I had traction control off and I got a little excited so I floored it and spun. At this point he was a car and a half in front of me. I hooked up and reeled him in. We shut down at about 75 which I was ahead by about 6 cars. I'd like to get a video some other time. But a question for you guys, what can I do to keep traction with tcs off? Like how much throttle and at what rpm/mph would be good to really lay into it

I usually go 1/4-1/2 throttle till around 20-30 then I'll floor it. It spins a bit, but its still pulling pretty hard while its spinning.

I'm guessing he had the v6? They are pretty slow plus it being awd slowed it down even more. Good kill though.

The 30V V6 isn't that slow, but it's far from a fair match with a GTP. How do I know? Previous wife ride to GTP.

No its not terribly slow, but the gtp just eats it lol. I like the s4 wheels on that passat. Ive never seen that before. It looks good. Its just good to know out of the 2 of us, my car is quicker :)

The best thing I ever saw was that car drive away with it's new owner. The S4 wheels came at a deal as well, so on they went. I can assure you, the GTP is a faster car.
