Totally agree with it could have been a lot worse. I got way lucky where I got hit, any lower and my intercooler would be gone, any higher and my windshield would be gone.
 


Look into aerocatch plus flush they make cf and black pins so no meed for a latch

It already comes with a latch installed. It's from PFYC. Also I HATE hood pins with a burning passion. I will not run them on my car.
 
looks fixable i slammed one at 75mph in mine and it cost me alot more to fix the 4 tires i ruined when i locked up the brakes due to no abs then the hood and drivers fender and headlight still not sure how i didnt ruin the bumper doing it either
 
I nailed a duck this morning doing 60 with my front bumper. Luckily it didn't appear to do any damage. Just missed my new headlight. I had a deer actually run into the side of my 98 Monte Carlo as I was doing about 50. Surprising how much damage they can do.
