GT5

I was looking forward to getting this as I have bought every other game in the series. I'm not so sure about it now. Was looking forward to a step up or evolution in the series, like what I thought GT3 was compared to 1 and 2. I enjoyed what I have played of prologue.

its a decent game, worth the money.

Can't see how its that "improved" though seing as Sega GT had all this minus visual customization a longggg ass time ago.

Tire wear, body damage that affected drive-ability, mods, license system, ranks for events...

Basically GT but improved, and this was for Xbox... not even 360.

PS3 is a decent system, but 360 has better games but worse hardware.

What do you say to the RROD? "three year warranty?" I dont care... thats downtime i dont need.
 
Im sorry but after seeing all the gameplay and tryin it out myself, Gran turismo 5 SUCKS! No real major leaps and bounds from the last installment.Only new or things worth trying is nascar,wrc and theres what 300 more cars from gt4.Its crap compared to Forza 3 which I own.Cars still sound like high performance vacuum cleaners and handle like ice.Wow I kinda feel bad for the Gran turismo fans who waited 6 years for that.But anyway it would be nice to have several more pontiacs maybe a grand prix gxp.lol i got carried away.

Only reason i bought the POS i love my 360 so much more, i dont care if they die easier, there more user friendly and much better games :th_thumbsup-wink:

and true, all you do in GT5 is slide, most of the cars DO NOT have inside views, The resale value on used cars even modded is about 75% less then what you buy them for used. and the upgrades in power suck compared to Forza 3, I cannot wait till FORZA 4 comes out BOOYAAA

In 6 years, it still looks like GT4, but worse, they added good cars then took them out before releasing the game, and theres still nothing that makes this game special in 6 years, the graphics even suck. and im playing on HDMI 1080p

But a $60 game is cheaper than selling my PS3 and buying a 360...

The thing in GT5 is... YOU NEED TOO BUY BETTER TIRES!

Its a simple concept really.
 
GT 4 in HD is fine with me. I enjoy the car list, a lot of nice JDM and Euro cars... American cars suck, you guys forget that? Grand prix in a racing game, REALLY? with its huge wheelgap, crappy suspension, even crappier weight distribution? Come on.

Im buying it. I like the ammt of tracks they got, and the fact that they will be releasing free car DLC's.
 
In game....

My 62 buick special rapes supercars including the veyron so umm... yeah... 810 HP from a blown buick 455. 1200 kg.

Its low as tits and goes like stink.

69 Z/28 with a "320 cu in engine" no joke thats what the game says despite the 302 badge on the cowl.... Its quite fast, not as quick as the buick though.

350 Z with 484 horse is decent but the Z and the buick are both faster (yes around corners...)

Just bought a 2010 SS for ****s... Its just as fast as the special with 200 less horse, no suspension mods, just engine and slicks. Brake bias was and still is ****ed up, needs suspension mods bad... But still just as fast when i have its weight down to 1500 kg and 200 less HP.


Oh and someone tell me why no car with a blower will have blower whine until you buy a transmission? Unless of course the blower was stock... but still... this is just stupid.


C6 Z06 or ZR1 is next... **** supercars. American ones go just as fast for the same cost.... Maybe once I have more in game $$

SO onto things that matter, its basically GT4 in HD with online support... which is ****ty because right now things are disabled because their servers can't handle the bandwidth...

I was reading somewhere a couple of days ago that they will be adding a **** ton of cars to the game as dlc. I'm a huge forza fan, I. Have been playing 3 since it came out. I have yet to buy gt5, but I plan on it maybe this weekend. I'm goling to see if I can find the link, some where even saying for a price you would be able to request a specific car you wanted. I have no idea if any if this is true, but to you butthurt guys it might be something to hope for.

Pt Cruiser, a trillion kids of Civics, Sunfire GXP Concept, Vibe GT, other bull. I'd say the GP is more than deserving of a spot in a racing game then those cars.

First car I bought was a Miata... why? Because it handles awesomely.

Damage blows, You can flip and its like you love tapped someone.

My 62 special currently has 370 000 cr worth of damage to the chassis.. but i have no idea what that even does?

The driving itself is fun though.

2010 SS camaro is possibly the best handling car i've driven thus far. And its only 35 000 compared to these exotics...
 
Do you have to fix the cars outside of the races? I know at the end of FM3 races you have to pay out of your winnings for all the damage you caused to your car. Reason being is I am biting the bullet and getting a PS3 after XMAS...I want to be sure I just can't go out and buy a used PS2 with GT4 and hook it up to the high def...and be just as amused. Granted...I've seen the interior views...any glitches with the speedos or stuff like that? KPH/MPH differences in the speedos? I know Forza was good at doin' that...like the Supra would only go 180 kph...what is that...110 mph? LOL How lame.
 
american cars have speedo's in MPH.

But the speedo is the stock speedo... so whatever that is.... it is.

I'll be honest. I do not understand the damage system at all. The oil light comes on when its dirty but i dont know what happens if you ignore it... It seems the cars make different levels of power on different days.

I only own american cars with interiors lol. I had a 350Z but i gave it to my buddy... now he's finishing races a minute ahead of the yaris's he's racing...
