GT vs. 3000GT

So my friend has this 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL and is always racing and beating people in town. He started talking **** to me so last night i raced him. I beat him off the line and had 5 lengths the whole race until I hit 105 and thats when he started pulling on me. I guess i didn't realize how fast my prix was. All i got is a bone stock 2000 GT.

My friend had one and its a nice car but down low has nothing. Even going all out it just doesn't have the same torque. Its got some good top end, not a lot of pull but it enjoys being in the top end. Will go pretty quick. Sounds pretty mean also.

Nice kill man. Do you know if it was an auto or a manual transmission? The difference between SL's that are auto and those that are stick is about a full second in the 1/4 as the auto's are very sluggish off the line. The manual SL's can pull a low 15 if the driver knows what he is doing. Either way, good run.

BTW, I have a SL and a BPU VR4. :)

3000GT's are junk! They are made with old technology and require much more matainance, only a select few are souped up enough to be considered a really nice car,
the grand prix is a better car all around and wasn't even orginally designed to be a ricer car
