i have a 98 grand prix gt..if i get an overkill pcm and a cat back. what will the top speed be. i love killing cobalts, but once i hit 106 its gay.

zzp DP, SLP exaust, 180* t-stat, Wizard (I think thats all i had at the time) and of course the overkill tune.

Wow, ballsy ive gone a bit faster then that but that was in my Camaro with a tire rated to like 190 or something. I personally dont think I would go any faster then 110 in my se.
 


106 is what i said and that was said is in a round about way could be 104 or 105... its somewhere right there... it will do that with no problem it just then starts shutting off and on until you slow down. (SORRY)
 
I hate the governor in our cars. I'm pretty sure just stock we'd be good up to 125 if not for the fuel cut-off.
 
Governors are set to the speed rating of the stock tires. Not just because the engineers felt like laughing at you every time you tried to go faster than that.

idk im sure they find it funny when all of sudden the car just cuts out. i would if i was racing someone. that reminds me i need to set my cousins to like 60 or sumthin then race him.

rockers would be nice with headers,i used a dhp 1.0 in mine with no tuning and it was good,i had to upgrade to an intense pcm and a good tune after the blower was installed
 
you said you like beating cobalts... will our gt's ..i repeat G T beat a cobalt ss supercharged? while im at it, how about integra gsr's and civic si's
 


My buddy's got 06 Cobalt LS Turbo GT28 turbo that thing rapes SS all day long I bet you could hold up with SS Supercharged there really not as fast as ya think.
 
Im dead even with my friends 08' civic si stock (14.7 in the quarter), get him from a stop a little but then he catches up and passes me. As far as pre gen civic's, they are all worthless garbage granted they aren't fully built and turboed but, not for long hehe :)
 
Wondering what my 2000 GT would do now?
Its got a slp cai, overkill pcm, cat back exhaust w/ cutout, and a few internals.
*FYI: Car was dyno'd at 223 hp before pcm,slp, and exhaust upgrades*
With those upgrades i was told to expect 245-250 hp?

Im thinking high 130's or mid 140's...?
