The only differences are sheet metal and how the interior is furnished. I don't drive a Chevy. You don't drive a Pontiac. We both drive a GM W-body. Not much else to it. ;)

Yeah, I never understood that one with my parents. Wouldn't drive a Chevy, but had a GMC van and Pontiac car. When I was laid off, I traded them my Impala for a paid for Mercury Tracer and they just took over Impala payments. They were happy with that Imp, and when I bought it back from them, I intended to pimp it out. But after we had it about two months, my wife was in an accident and it was totaled. Took about another year before I got my SS.
