Gt mods?

so will i have to get a zzp 1.0 pcm? or have them modify mine?

Dynoing yours is the best option, but getting any upgrade will help. ZZP PCMs are tuned for premium fuel, but you can still put regular in; you just won't get all the benefits.

Heck, even S/C cars can put regular in if they have too, but it should only be used in emergencies when 91+ octane is not available. The savings in the pocket won't mean squat when you damage your engine from running 87 octane. But again, that's for high compression engines like the L67.

Running regular fuel with the PCM will it hurt my car at all or i just won't get all the benefits but it be better then a stock PCM?

I am far from a 3800 expert, but here's a quote from ZZP's website:

"9. What octane do I need to run?

If you have a naturally aspirated vehicle, 91 is recommended. If you have an aftermarket cam, 89 is recommended. Race gas of any type is not recommended. 87 octane will work but performance will suffer some.

If your car is supercharged, or turbo'd premium gas is required. The higher the octane of premmium, the better. Unleaded race gas works well for further improved performance."

You will notice some improvement, as the PCM in its stock configuration is pretty conservative.

"We set our L36 computers up in such a fashion that the more modifications you do the less likely it is that you need to run premium fuel.
Short answer is if you do all those modifications, it is highly likely that you can run 87 octane and actually have better performance versus premium. Vehicles with just a downpipe and air intake will likely require 89 octane and stock vehicles need 91."

yea true where i live everyone owns a gp or a impala and most ppl own a monte carlo. I dont care for none of those cars just the fact i think they all look like crap besides the impala but would never would own one just because its chevy. My family is ford and i am the first to have a gm car. but besides that i think on top of my list of getting ported heads. Would ported heads work with stock rockers i know im going to get a agg. cam thats why i want to get heads to so i can knock both of them off my mod list.
