grinding noise.

Needs A Turbo
i have a weird grinding noise coming from the front of the car....it changes in accordance with wheel rotation.....not brake related already checked that......axle or diff maybe? it takes awhile of driving for it to start almost as if it comes with heat. whatcha thinking?
 


cv axle or hub assembly would be my guess.

i'm sure someone will chime in with the 12/6 and 3/9 stuff where you can wiggle the wheel and get an accurate diagnosis without digging in much farther, i can't remember which goes with which.
 
forgot to mention i can only hear this noise at low speeds not high which a bearing would hum on the highway so im thinking something else.

not true, i need to replace my pass hub and it just makes noise after driving, only hear it at low speeds... had the tech at work check.... so keep it as a possibility :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
I have a bad hub that I can only hear between 35-45 mph. Jack up the car and see if u have any play in the wheels
