• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Greetings one and all!!!

My name is Don, and I hail from the Buckeye State of Ohio.
I picked up my 07 Crimson Grand Prix GT on April 3rd, and so far I am really enjoying it. From what I can tell, the GT models without the sunroof are a bit rare. I wanted it this way as the extra headroom taken by the sunroof comes in hany for my 6'3" stature.

My previous vehicle was a very dependable 2001 Dodge Durango, but I am just not an SUV/truck type fellow. Needless to say, the Durango was no stranger to gas stations, and were it not for an 8 mile daily commute I would have been bankrupt.

Previous to that, I had a beautiful Emerald Green 1995 ATX Ford Taurus SHO which I throughly enjoyed and regret selling to this day.

Anyway, I have always kept an eye on the Grand Prix, and hoped to someday have one of the supercharged models.

My GT has a little over 26k, and surely rides mucho better and goes faster than the old D. Weighing in at some 1500 pounds less with 30 more HP has a lot to do with that.

I am glad to have found this forum, as I spent quite abit of time on one of the Durango Forums which proved to be very much worth its weight in gold.

I hope to contribute to solving other's issues with my car knowledge, and am always ready to learn something new.

Welcome to the community.

I was reading an article just a couple days ago that Ford was bringing back the Taurus SHO again in a twin turbocharged EcoBoost V6 version, supposedly in 2010.

Yes Sir...AWD to boot too :D Claimed 380HP...we'll see :D Talk about a sleeper!!:th_biggrin2:

Welcome man!!

Hi Guys, and thanks.

I would love to have a new SHO in my garage as well, but it is only a 2.5 car deal, and the 40k they are wanting for the new SHO really is not in the budget.

For its time, the SHO was indeed a real sleeper. Anyway, I don't want to make any waves my talking about other vehicles in the GP forum.

Thanks for the welcome, and what a really nice car the GP is. I walk into the garage, and still cant believe it sits there waiting at my beck and call.
