Joined this forum as a result of a dilemma I have. I currently own 2 Grand Prixs. A 99 Medium Gulf Blue coupe with 22,000 miles which I bought new. Also a 2001 GTP dark blue coupe with a 112,000 miles. Just bought the GTP & this is the problem child. I bought it after it had a small engine fire. The oil fill cap was left off thus the fire. My problem is I can't locate a wiring harness for it. I'm told that only 2001 works. I found out that there are 2 for that year. 1 was installed up until 9/30/00. From 10/01/00 & up was a different harness. That's what my local GM dealer is telling me. They also told me that GM has discontinued both of them. This I cannot understand especially with the fire history of these cars.
My questions is where can I get one? My car was built in 12/00 so it would need the later harness. Anybody run into this problem? All help would be appreciated!
