so i posted before about my fuel pump not turning on. It ended up being the orange wire that poweres the PCM. It was burnt and fryed off. So i replaced it and when the car was in the on position all my dash lights were normal, fuel pump was turning on. I couldnt be happier. I tried starting the car and the rpms go up to 1000 and the car just dies. i tried jumping it and the same thing happened. While I started it again i held the gas pedal and the rpms stayed up. but died once i let go of the pedal. Whats wrong with my car now, I thought i fixed the problem now its something else :-(. If anyone can help that would be awesome, thanks guys
 


I dont even know where those are located.. But I never replaced my fuel filter before and i have 135k miles. So im going to replace that first.

good luck... 135k that line is not going to break free.. im sure its rotted right into the filter. im sure thats not your problem anyway but you should try to change it for maintenance. check for fuel pressure... id put money on that its your fuel pump resistor.
 
if the fuel pump resistor is in my fender, how do I get that thing out? Im definitely not taking the fender off lol
 


and you dont need to take the fender out to get it. its right on the frame rail ... pull the wheel well out enough to be able to look up there.. its white so it stands out
 
Turns out it was the IAC valve, thank you all so much for helping me get this car back up and running. I will be selling it soon.. anyone want to take it off my hands? :th_laugh-lol3:
