grand prix shiftlock

not even sure where to post a question this silly but:
i spilled a beer in my grandprix automatic now about 75% of the time i try to get out of park i have to push down the little shiftlock thingy. any tips on cleaning it?

Compressed Air? Blow the **** out of it. That's what id do.

and nobody ask's why theres a beer while driving? lol. heres a tip.. take a pen..shove it thru the shift lock thing and youll never have to worry again

^ heres a btter tip, remove the center consol and zip tie the white shift lock clip so it stays unlocked. Ya know, so you dont have a pen sticking out all the time . As for cleaning, soap and water?????
