• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Grand Prix Screen Saver

i would not suggest upsizing pictures at all for the reasons you say above. perhaps putting the picture against a black background at the decided resolution might be a good idea.

Thats an idea, anyone else have any others?

What would be the minimum resolution that you would want to see the screen saver at? Keep in mind that with the growth of wide screens we need to keep that in mind and find a happy medium that will look good on those screens as well.

Yea, deffinately don't upsize any pictures. The black background works well. Another idea may be to have more than one picture on a "slide" if someone sends you small pics.

Well, I use a 1280x1020 resolution. 21 inch screen so I can get away with that. I am still not sure that wide screen is an option we should really be thinking about. Most ppl still have the old standard of square monitors. I am sure as time rolls on, widescreen will be the norm, but not yet...

If my website statistics are to be believed, widescreen is more prevalent than one may think. Some 25% of the visitors to my site had widescreens or were using widescreen resolution.

can you show us some sneak peek of the screen saver to get an idea of what it looks like so far? come on tease us?

3800SE, I havent gotten any emails from you at this time, you sent them to syntheticshield AT cableone DOT net, correct?

38special, I'll see what I can do about that, but no promises at this point.

yea.....i just looked in my junk folder....the returned mail message went there for some reason.....what is the largest email size you can recieve? it said because they were too large. i dont know if it was on my end or yours. i will try to send again in a little bit

Well to be honest, I dont know. Ive never received too big of an attachment before. Im on broadband so havent a clue as to what they would make the limit if any.

Here is my old 1993 GP SE... Not the best of pics, but there are a few... IronIndian/SOLD 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix SE - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I also sent you a email with a few pics of my 2000 grand prix gt. Let me know if they dont work. thanks.

Ive gotten all the pics that everyone has sent. I just havent had the time to get them organized as I have with the others. So I appreciate everyone sending in their shots, if you got more, send them in.

I'll keep accepting pictures and keep building the screen savers, maybe even work on some calendars at some point.
