Grand Prix Screen Saver

I tried to do something like this on the other forum a couple times but could never get the support nor the pictures to make it happen. So Im going to try it here.

I want to create a Grand Prix Screen Saver, something put to some music and that would include enough quality pictures that it wouldn't become boring any time soon. So to that end, I saw a few people posting pictures of their cars on the site so Im going to take a stab at this one more time.

Send me quality pictures of your ride (in keeping with the theme of the site, Grand Prix, Regal, MC, etc). I would prefer multiple pictures to choose from, but if you only have one or two, send them over. Pictures of the whole car, interiors, wheels, engines, etc. Just as long as they are quality pics and by that I mean in focus, clear, etc. No people in the pics please, I dont want to have to go through getting releases.

Do NOT pm the pictures to me please. I need to keep my inbox clear for people needing help or otherwise need to contact me. Send them to my email address, syntheticshield AT cableone DOT net.

I will make the screen saver, compile it and post it up for everyone to enjoy and download if I get enough interest and enough pictures. So here you go people, your chance to contribute and help do something unique and get your pride an joy viewed by countless others. So pony up and send me some pictures.

I got Jasons pics, but I havent gotten any from Reptile or Street Wolf yet. I'll keep an eye on the spam filters though, but just double check you sent them to the correct email address.

Hey, everyone, when you send the pics if you could please, make the subject "Screen Saver Pics" and then in the message add your first and last name and screen name. I'll try and set up a filter in my email (Ive been getting a lot since the forum opened) so I can keep the screen saver emails separate from everything else.

Okay people, I got four people that have sent pictures so far, lets keep up the great work and send some more. Ideally Id like to have a dozen or so people to send me pictures. I know you're out there, get those emails with those pictures to me.
 


By the way, I just updated my PhotoBucket with quite a few pictures I had never bothered to upload before, and some WCCGP club pictures. So take a look. :D

I still need several other people to send pics. I know you gottem and I know you'd like to show 'em off a little. Well here's your chance.
 
Personally, Id rather have them sent to my email addy. But if you want to post a link to the photobucket that would be okay as well as long as they are full res pictures. Im shooting for around 1024 x 768 minimum resolution. People are buying higher and higher res screens and Id like for it to look good on them.

I know the stats for my own personal websites an increasing number of widescreen owners, so I think we need to keep up with the times if we can.

I don't have any pics larger than the one you seen
there and that is 800 X 600
Right now i am waiting on getting my SLP hood...

By the way my res is 1024 x 768 resolution
But i made them all small for another site that does not suport
high res pics.
 
Well they dont have to be that resolution, I would just make them all the same size, whatever the smallest size was. My thinking was that with all the higher res screens, widescreens and such it would be a good idea to work towards a larger size if possible.

I got a couple more emails, one was a Monte Carlo, I know the persons name from the email, but not their screen name. If whoever sent that would please post up I would appreciate it. Im trying to keep the emails tied to the screen names so everyone gets proper credit for their contribution.
 
scott, the monte carlo was probably me. i sent it last nite. also i reply back from the instruction you sent.
