_Moved my thread here figured this was where I should have posted it in the first place feel free to delete the other one, thanks_

So my car is throwing the code P0102 MAF circut low input. The car will run and drive and hasn't stalled yet, some of the issues are...

1997 GTP

-Fluctuating idle jumps around from as low as 400 to around 1600 rpm feels like its almost about to stall sometimes
-Delayed throttle response from idle
-Feels like it breaks up when I lay into it doesn't run at a steady pase

This code just came up about a week or so ago and it was intermittent, no its not it just wont go away and things are getting worse it seems. My vacuum is good its at 19 where its always been since i changed my LIM gaskets around 5000 miles ago. I tried replacing the MAF with one I had laying around and didnt help. I dont wanna go spend $120 on a new MAF and it do the same thing.

Could this have anything to do with the MAP sensor? I also tried cleaning the MAF sensor but that didnt help. I didnt wanna start a thread about this but I was doing some research on this and I see others had the same problem but they never said what they did to fix it.

Anyone else have this problem? Suggestion on what I should do?

You mean MAF or MAP? lol I tried cleaning the MAF and changed it out with another used one I had laying around and still was doing the same thing. Im gonna try and clean the MAP tonight see if that helps any. Thanks for the advice Bill!

Maf is a 97-98 only part so if you swapped in a different year that might be your problem. I have a maf from my 98 if you're interested.

I swapped it out from my 98 GTP throttle body so it should be the same Ill check the part number tomorrow see if its the same. If you have a MAP sensor I would be interested! Btw I sent your TB out this morning

When I first got the P0102, it was the MAF; gently tapping it would cause a fluctuation in the scope readings. New MAF installed and all was good.

A while later I had the TBI off for some other work, and when everything was back together, I fired up the car, and the CEL was on. Scanned it and had P0102. I clead the code, unplugged the MAF, plugged it back in, fired up the car, and have yet to see P0102 again. Wish I knew what this one was about.
