• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Grand Prix Documents Project

SyntheticShield

New member
Ive been working for the last few weeks on a project I have wanted to undertake for some time now to make information more available to the community for those that like to do things themselves. Much of it surrounds documenting the large amount of information Ive collected over the years and putting it in some type of document form for easy access and use.

Im also in the process of working on a CD version, but that is a ways off as Im still working out some of the organization of the information and how best to present it and make it easy to use and access and finally I hope, and hope being the operative word that I can come up with some type of database that is searchable, has a nice interface and so forth that can be passed out around the community and hopefully built upon.

So with that I'll start with something I already have made up and see what else I can get done in the coming days and weeks. Im open to some ideas and suggestion but please dont clutter up the thread with anything that is not related directly to the project so as to keep everything in here relatively easy to find.

Vehicle Zones and Zoning

This shows the zoning for callouts on electrical diagrams, grounds, splices, etc. For instance, the connector to the transmission is labeled C113 in the electrical schematics and diagrams. Looking at the zoning diagram, you see that anything in the 100-199 rang is forward of the instrument dash panel. Pretty obvious on that example but others such as splices and ground, it becomes pretty helpful.

Grand Prix Mechanical Specifications
(Thanks to Reptile for sending me the information)

The information is based on the L32 but should suffice for most anything to do with the block and rotating assembly on either the L32 or L67. If there is such specific information for the non-supercharged engines (if it differs that much), then if someone would be so kind as to send it to me I will get it into a document and post it up as well.
