Grand national heads on a Grand prix...

Weird question I know.

I had an 87 GN. sold the car as a roller while the motor was out getting machined.

I have the stock heads, replaced valve guides, honed guides 0.0025 over and a valve job with new springs.

Any chance these would fit on our 3800 series? No idea personally just a feeler question if anyone has done this.

Tired of having this engine sit in my garage. block, pistons, crank, basically everything to bolt up and ride in a GN.

I'm looking at picking up an extra 02 motor and building it to swap into my 02 anniversary.

Could be interesting....

Thoughts?

For the pre series one v6's they should bolt up anything after that won't especially series 2 and later why? Because series 2 and 3 have symmetrical exhaust and intake ports unlike the series one and earlier v6's you could bolt them on a series one but not 100% if the coolant holes line up on the fwd blocks

OK makes sense. Guess everything is for sale then.

thanks for the info. I didnt think about exhuast ports.

My uncle was talking about this to me recently. Ppl in the gm world run our 3800 serious block since there is so many out there. I can remember if i was pre 96 or what. I can ask and find out for you though.
