GPO grille inserts???

i just orderderd GPO grille inserts for my car, and i was wondering when i install them do they replace my stock grill and ther will just be a hole where the old grill was, or do they just find around it ?
 


so their will be a big hole where my grills once where? and how to people have the GPO inserts and the street scene mesh grills on at the same time

you can try looking but I haven't found any new that are cheaper
 
While they are sexy and what not just to give a warning mine werent perfect from wbody store. They have waves and minor chips.
 
not to bash, but it seems odd that you bought something before having a clue what it was or worked.

They will look great on the car tho!
 
They will require a significant amount of work to get them to look like an OE part.

Both in prep work and reshaping of the insert to match your bumper.
 


Negative Ghost Rider.

There are grill replacements that look great, like the GXP mesh ones, but you would have to fabricate your own to look like the GPOs and IMO they wouldn't look very good. Opening in the newer models is just too big for it to look right.

The link I provided in Post #5 is the link to where you USED to be able to buy them. They have since discontinued the grills. I too would like to buy a pair, but you will have to find them on Ebay, CL, or a wrecked GP. Most people that have them, will not want to get rid of them. Sux but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
 
wait why can't wbs do another run?
is it because of the original creator or what?
i just got back into the gp scene so i def missed a thread if there was one

Email them. See if you can get a response. If you can and they will do another run let us know, they would probably be more willing if there was a group buy going, and that may get a discount as well.
 
they fit horribley or at least the 3 sets i help install did. im pretty sure they knew that and unlike some other vendors didnt want to be selling a ****ty product....so they pulled the plug. just a thought

I've never seen a set that fit the way they should.
