GPF Track video/discussion

Slowpoke

So not banned.
I'm starting this thread for all the legit members on GPF who like to track their GP's. Maybe, if this gets enough traction:th_lightbulb: (<--Lulz), we can make this into a subsection.

RULES

1. Only track videos! If you have a super sweet street racing video, start a new thread. I'll be keeping this Wbody specific for now, I feel this will better serve the GPF community.

2. The purpose of this thread is not only for sharing track videos, but to discuss setups, track techniques, etc. As such, it would be helpful if you could include a mod list at the time of the run posted.

3. Some playful jabs back and forth is cool, but keep it track related, and try not to go overboard on each other. You start going off about how Blue's mom is good in the sack, I'll delete your post.:D

4. Lastly, I want this to be a good place for people to go and ask questions. About to go to the track for the first time? Step in and ask for some tips, someone here will no doubt help you out.

Re: GPF Track Thread.

sub'd. i'll be full of relevant info come next track season. until then, fwiw, a gtp with 300 pounds worth of subs and a 3.5" with no supporting mods was at the fender of my firebird until his pcm pulled all the timing in the top end. he ran a 14.9.

and i got to talk to the owner of milzy motorsports when he was tuning a guy's turbo gtp. it was on slicks, and he had nothing good to say about the setup lol. he was running an m90 block-off plate, and i quote, "if you're going turbo, don't ever do that. it's ugly, it's not as efficient as it could be, and this is just an ugly build. not one of my kits, for sure." i lol'd. he was running high 12's though.

my gt... two 16.39's and embarassment

Re: GPF Track Thread.

I'd like to post my old timeslip...at least the one I have of my XP and 3.4"/headers...13.43 @ 102.76.

I'd like to get a new database going so if people want to PM me...and if Poke...if he is cool with that; that is...with a actual link to a scanned or picture or a timeslip...the track you were at, date you ran, R/T, 60 ft., 1/8th MPH/ET, 1/4 MPH/ET.

Hell yeah, sounds good to me.

Re: GPF Track Thread.

Right on broske.

Also...just heresay will be discredited. You want to be on the list...give us physical proof. If you don't have a slip...a video link to a track run will work...but it MUST show the car and the big boy screen at the end.

Re: GPF Track Thread.

You have my track run on your photobucket somewhere if I remember right.

Re: GPF Track Thread.

Why a track thread and not a track section?

Maybe hidden section for people who are more modded than most/ actually race at the track?

Re: GPF Track Thread.

Well...I'd add one...but I can't because I don't have access to that section after the name colors got changed.
