Hey guys I'm having a issue I have a 98 Grand Prix GTP stock and it's been ok until now well recently I did both control arms and the next day i noticed while driving on the expressway any were from 50-75 or trying to accelerate lightly the RPMs drop and the car starts to shake or flutter like a misfire until I let my foot off the gas or lightly press the brake then it goes back to normal just for a little bit & as far in street driving it does it after 35Mph i haven't had a clue what's going on I don't know if its the trans or engine any ideas

Sounds like a bad coil pack,MAF sensor or the throttle positioning sensor. Try unplugging the tps and see if that helps. Then you can try unplugging the MAF to see if it runs better.

I had some of the same conditions that you are having and I didn't have a light on either. But I started unplugging some sensors. My MAF didn't even set off a code.

Well i was at work & now when I put it in gear it did not move then after a while it went into first gear and I started driving and it wouldn't shift out of first get back into the parking lot at my job and I want to put it in reverse and it wouldn't go in any gears turn the car off for a while started it back up and tried to move it again and it went into reverse & drive scared to drive it home but still do not know what's going on

new ball joints and bushings can and will make the alignment off. the steering wheel was off a few inches when i changed mine.

If you haven't already, check your trans fluid level (at operating temp, on a level surface). Top it off if it's low, then do a pan drop/filter change when you get it home. Before cleaning the pan up, get some pics of what's in it right after you remove it and post them up here. Also make sure your battery terminals are clean and tight (same way I like my women), corroded terminals and/or grounds will make the trans do funny stuff.

hey guys I'm back well I found out what was going on with my trans so it needed to be rebuilt it was trashed what ended up happening was my cooler ended up getting clogged with metal shavings so the pump gave out and the tcc gave out so basically it burned out.
