GP 2008 shaking steering wheel above certain Speed

I think this is a weird one, my steering wheel shakes only sometimes between the speeds 90-95Km but only sometimes and not all the time. I had my tires balance, Alignment done, Outer rods replaced as they were bad and everything else shocks etc.. looks good. Just last week I put on new rotors and pads in the front as I needed to replaced them and also hoping to resolve the shaking issue but its still there. The weird thing is that it only happens sometimes when I let go of the gas going between 90-95KM it shakes, anything under that or above that no shaking at all. The shaking is not that crazy or anything but I do notice it when it does happen. I remembered before I put on my winter tires I was still getting it so I know its not the tires, anybody think of something else that can may cause the shaking issue. Thanks

Sounds like maybe a bad CV half shaft. Im having a similar problem now and I know that's what mine is. Check to see if the boots on the CV shaft are leaking grease

Govna47 what is 1-2-3 mean? The shop checked the CV shaft boot but nothing no leaking grease. Can it be from the right side? Or can it be leaking from the inner boot?

So I am bringing this post back to life. As I remembered the shaking at high speeds been there for two years, I have already gotten new tires, happens with my winter tires also. The work I have done so far on the car is replaced both front outer tie rods, replaced front and rear struts and mounts. Replaced rear stabilizer bar, replaced steering wheel shaft and also new pads and rotors on the front. I still have the shaking vibration when going 90-100km and I can see and feel the steering wheel shaking. I think it's been awhile and need to get this fix as it's annoying me now. Thanks

Check your LCA bushings and ball joints, inner tie rods, wheel bearings, axle shaft also are a possibility. Double check rims arnt bent, wheels are balanced good with no broken belts or deformations and all bolts are tight. I'm having the same problem, putting money on axles because mine have slung most of the grease out of them.

Well I know it's not my tires or rims as it happens with my winter tires and with winter rims. Will ask my mechanic what he thinks the issue may be.

If you jack front of the car up one wheel at a time and push n pull it at the 9 and 3 and 12 and 6 positions see if has any play.

I think I might be having the same problem as well... I work off a dirt road that most of the time is like driving on the moon with gravity of course! I noticed when going between 45-70 I can feel the steering wheel shake a little and I also can feel it when i'm going around turns.

It might be my inner tie rods, getting new tires in a few days so will try and see if the vibration is gone

If it is, the guy putting your tires on should notice it if he is worth anything. To make sure ask them to see if there any wiggle in the front tires.

If you've gone through all your suspension components and they are good, and still have the issue, it could be your engine or tranny mounts being shot and throwing off the geometry of the suspension causing vibration as you mention. Just an FYI.

I put on my summers tires yesterday and the vibration has decreased alot but will confirm it in few days when I do more driving on them. I have not yet installed the new tires as I am still waiting for them to come in however what do you guys think about goodyear brand tires? I bought the eagle sport tires by goodyear and there are mix reviews.
