Hi!
doe`s anyone knows what scanner fits my cars? (except GM Tech 1...)
i found that the innova 3140 can read OBD I (and II) but GP 94-95 doesn't mentioned in the user manual.
i also checked the AutoXray EZ-Scan AX6000 and 7000. they can read OBD I (and II) but no cars excluded in the user manual, so i can`t tell for sure.
i sent query about this matter to the makers, but none of the company's above returned me an answer...
any ideas?

You are probably an obd 1.5 based on the years you listed. Check the actron 9145. IIRC it'll do both, but you might need a different cable for it.

thanks!
i`m looking at the actron products right now...
the actron 9190 kit looks pretty good. but the big question is can it read the gp aldl dtc`s correctly?

If it says it'll read the 92-93 era, then yes. The thing (at least on Bonnies) in 95 was that it was a mix of plugs and codes one is obd 1 and the other is obd2. Damn hybrid year.

You'd have to have trouble scanning to know about the protocol. I'm not familiar with the GP's in those years, but the Bonnie's were the hybrid. Got the OBD 1 connector, OBD2 codes and I think it was still technically running the OBD1 programming.

thanks!
the last time an authorized GM mechanic scanned the dtc`s, he used the GM Tech 1 scanner.
does it specify the protocol? (obd 1 or 2?)
i`m so frustrated from this issue...
by the way, does anyone knows if the Equus 3140 Innova Diagnostic Code Scanner for OBDI and OBDII Vehicles is compatible with gp 1994 & 1995? the scanner looks so cool...

if you are still looking for a Scanner for your vehicle I just purchased an Actron CP9145 Super Autoscanner and it should work on your car .... I also own a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix
