Got pulled over today....

Cop ran my plate while be behind me and pulled me over because supposably my car wasn't registered....Took my lic/reg/ins and my passenger's id.....Co-worker had a warrant and some weed (we smoked earlier). They ran my **** and said "looks like someone at the secretary of state made an error."

Searched my car because my passenger had drugs, found a bowl, i didn't have any drugs though....Gave me a sobriety test, told me i was not under arrest and to get in the back of the cop car for a brief moment....Then they had me get out, said I passed the sobriety test and I was free to go.

So this begs the question - Who's ass am I gonna beat at the Secretary of State tomorrow for f***ing up my registration?!?!:th_skull::th_skull::th_skull:

I'm pretty pissed.

I'd count your blessings that your not posting this a week from now after getting slammed for weed.

I didn't have anything on me it was all my passenger. Extremely glad they didn't try to pin it on me because he had some (we had done it earlier but we weren't driving).

I got nabbed in my truck today. Same BS. The guy ran my license and info, and came and said to have a nice day.

My truck doesnt even look like anything to pull over. Just your run of the mill full-size ext. cab Chevy. They're everywhere.

There was probably warning (forgive my ignorance, I am not familiar with the correct term) about that particular colour.

Well, when I went to check at the secretary of state the computers were down Weds/Thurs.......so I wonder how many other people in the state got pulled over for no reason other then the cop ran your plate and the computer didn't work....

I'm about 100% sure the cop lied to me about it. Just pulled me over cause they saw 2 guys in there early 20's in a car. That or they musta saw him or been tracking him with his warrant...I dunno. I'm never letting anyone ride in my car again!! :D:D lol

I get pulled over here and there for no apparent reason....They just come up to the window and play 20 questions with me, then let me go...Usually the cops aren't too bad in my area, they have better things to worry about

Well, don't do drugs and then there is nothing to worry about? And why in the hell would you let someone smoke weed in your car!?!?!? Cmon man......

I didn't have anything on me it was all my passenger. Extremely glad they didn't try to pin it on me because he had some (we had done it earlier but we weren't driving).
Doesn't mean anything. Anything in the car is the responsibility of the driver unless someone else takes ownership.

Had he claimed it was not his, you'd have been screwed over.

If you get stopped and the cops tells you " How high are you" tell him "what!! your high, its HI, how are you" hahaha

Nice going...

While you're mad at the "secretary of state", you should be mad at yourself. Because things like this is exactly why you don't roll around with that stuff in your car.

Secretary of state? Is that what you guys call the DMV in MI?

I didn't know he had it on him. He told me he was putting it in his house and changing before we left (since we did it prior to being in the car).

Most of you clearly didn't read my posts in their entirety. We never smoked in the car. It wasn't mine. I got pulled over because I was in front of the cop and he ran my plate first (while there was atleast 10 other cars waiting with me at the light).

Not a single thing I could of done to avoid it, minus not having a friend.....Can't go back and prevent him from being a dumbass and getting a warrant (which he never told me about or he wouldn't be in my car), or lying to me about putting it in his house. Not like I was speeding or gave them any reason to pull me over. Oh well.

New law around here is if there is weed or drugs in the car, its everyone's who is in the car no matter what.

I somewhat agree with the OP. The first question on my mind when I get into my car is not to ask all my passengers if they are carrying drugs. It just doesn't work like that.
