Umm....pictures?
I was still paying on my car when I just bought it and only had it 11 months before that drunk dub **** rear ended me totaling my car.
They were going to repair it, wrote me a check for a bumper cover and support totaling like $300.00 then we removed the rear bumper cover and saw how far he got into my car, trailing arm that was bent in a "U" was not a good sign, they checked it back out, and saw that yup, that was bad, and totaled it. I bought it back, paid off my loan, and still was able to fix my car much cheaper than they said I could.
If that helps you or not.
Also, you can also figure into the cost of repairing your car your deductible.
People, you all need to know that if its not your fault, you should NEVER-EVER have any out of pocket expense EVER!
If they (the insurance company) wants to yank you around...screw that game, and just hire a lawyer now. Just tell him you want your car fixed, and you (the lawyer) paid for your your costs. Anything left over, you can have as a way of saying thank you. That really makes them work harder for you and you get your car back...sometimes even better than you wanted.
