Not my fault i am still really pissed and it happened at noon.... bottom line is old ladies are blinder then bats! pulled outta a parking spot then threw my gtp in drive i get to about 1 mph and bammmm stupid $#%($ slams into me =[ stupid 08 excapes! anyways my inner fender on the drivers side is shot bumper is scrathed and my rear driver side quarter panel is dented in behind the bumper!! im pissed replacing a quater panel is hard to do ay?? idk we are told her insureance will fix it thank god for allstate i guess...... how much damage money wise does this sound like so far? also my gas door is shot "worse then it already was now it saggs really low! and my divers side taillight has a crack in it =[ GOD DAMN FORDS AND BLIND PEOPLE MIXED ISNT COOL! :(

any1 have an idea on how much damage would be caused with stated above? well it would obviously be a rough estimate but whatya think?

ouch! sorry to hear about that. good thing she didn't mess up your racing stripes that you just got on few weeks ago.

well lets see. I estimate 2400bux worth of damage. the quarter panels will bite ya... labor wise... then factor in paint...

quarter is welded, but if it's a dent they can be fixed pretty easy by a real body man (try and find one though too many panel hangers now)

yeah i think they can just go in the trunk and pop it out with something maybe but im hoping for some new parts haha =]

if insurance gives you a fat check then try to fix as much as you can on your own. this will then give you money left over to make your car faster.

that's what i did when i smashed mine.

bio your a genious haha they can just cut you a check instead of fixing it??? NICE do u have to ask for it?

actually i would just pay the rest of my gtp off then fix it myself haha

Fix it THEN pay it off. By the way it sounds, alot of the damage is something a body shop would have to do. You would be best to get it fixed right away and then work on paying your car off. There is no sense in driving around a damaged car for a while.

yeah dude but i feel i can pop the dent out with me laying in the trunk an giving a swift kick to the panel from the inside there is a crack in my tailight though which i oviously cant fix and my bumper has a scaratch and paint missing along with the fuel door sagging badly.

Get it fixed right first, then worry abour paying it off or mods. Halfassed body work doesn't make any car look good. Get it done right by somebody who knows how...

Also, your lucky someone hit you that had insurance and can get you fix up right. All the more reason to get everything done right. Now if it was on you and your low on cash, thats a different story.

All I can say is the first person who hits me, I'll be sticking it in there ass! Theres only one body shop that I will allow to do major body work on my car and they do high end restos so I can guarantee my damn car will be absolutely flawless when done...

i hear yah iron! The insureance company of hers deals with a company called sterling body shop any1 heard of it?

Sucks about getting hit.

But as for insurance, it depends on what company it is and how they handle claims. The two claims my wife had through state farm (one she his a deer, other lady hit the car in the parking lot), they just cut her a check. The deer was for $3500. The other was for $900. Both times we took the car to a friend that has a garage. He was able to use some used parts and do the work for much cheaper than quoted. First time she ended up with like $800 in her pocket. Second time, since the garage still had the paint mixed, she ended up with a new set of tires and brakes. So all depends.

But I agree to get the car fixed correctly. Then worry about mods and paying it off.

why do you all assume that doing it yourself is half assing it? thats just blasphemy.

Buy junkyard parts, possibly the same color if you get lucky or paint it if need be. you can also take your car to a college and let the auto body kids paint it for the cheapness. dont go to a body shop, they charge a billion dollars for everything.
