Stupid deer dodged 6 lanes of traffic to nail me. Bounced off my hood and went about 10 feet up in the air or so the guy said that was in the truck behind me... Sheriff stopped and threatened to arrest me when I kicked the deer on the side of the road. Apparently you can beat a dead horse, but not kick a dead deer...

Called my insurance and they said no problem, 250 deductible, they made a reservation for a rental car for me, and Im waiting for the autobody shop to call tomorrow. Yay me....
 


dont feel bad the last deer i hit got a knife to the throat... of course there was no cops around though lol
 


looks like the shape of deer along the hood, looks like a small dent and a ear imprint in the dirt on the pass side.
 
Glad to hear you're ok,deer can come out of no where and f*#k s#%t up! at least it didn't go through the windshield.
 
Yeah,but that could get ugly real quick.I had that happen in a work truck I was driving,luckly I stopped the truck before I hit another car on my right side.You never know
 
I was sure it was gonna come through the windshield... hood, bumper, fender, drivers headlight, at a min. I drove it to pick up pizza and the temp just keeps slowly climbing so Im guessing something is busted under the hood. Thinking Core support, headlight mounting buckets, possibly pushed my rad back so the fans are jammed against something. Plus Im sure the latch and all the support rods and **** for it ar fragged so yea, all that for 250? WIN!

And yea, it does look like the deers ear print on the passenger side... didnt notice that earlier. was a bit to pissed off....
 


i bet its more then a hood, your driver headlight is popped out. im betting new hood, latch, mounting panel on driver side, maybe new filler panel around the latch.
 
With the value of the car it might be a complete total, given a new hood front bumper headlight and mount and any possible core support damage.

Sorry, made me LOL.

That sux but glad it wasn't worse, have seen some pretty horrid wrecks due to those little buggers.
 
when i had my 03' impala i had a deer run into the drivers side it bounced off the car got up and walked away like nothing happened.

Yea, Im kinda worried about this... I just finished installing my stereo into it, headunit, amps, sub, and from and rear speakers... Probably have over 2k in that alone. if they total it out I hope I can rip a lot of that out....
