well i attempted to take the pinstripe off... took me one hour and all i got was the drive side front panel... so i guess there four sections on both sides so im 1/8 of the way done? lol its on my to do list... but i definitely think it makes it look a lot cleaner without it!

on a side note i took the gamecube out because i never really used it... i may re-install in the future if i start to miss it

Alright guys i figured it was about time to update what ive done to the good ol Grand Prix

first things first...

i gutted all my interior so i could run some wires up under the carpet... probably more effort than it was worth but it turned out quite nicely!

now wires for what you may be asking?

i know im going to get a lot of crap for this but i like it and thats all that matters!!

interior LEDs with matching underglow (dont have any pictures or videos of the underglow quite yet)

then came the typical water leak fix...

got sick of having a big white dangling ipod cord so i got a flat retractable one and fed it behind everything and out underneath

updated my subs and sub box a couple of times but heres how it sits today

did a cold air intake... plan on painting the pvc pipe and getting rid of the ruffled tube at some point too

restored my headlights using the sand paper method... turned out pretty good!

and now some after!

the girlfriend put together some little cute side by side things that show the difference a little better haha

while were on the subject of headlights... i ordered some 8000k headlights that should be on their way but this is a concept im looking at if i ever retrofit... but that means money money money!!

Well guys this weekend, Monday technically, I bought my 08 Black GXP that I've craved since basically joining this site. So thanks all! Anyways I was supposed to sell my 05 base on Tuesday and they guy told me money wasn't a problem and he had it all worked out. Come to find out he wasn't able to get the loan and that fell through. Sooo I currently have to GPs. (Can anyone say photo shoot?)

Heres how the 05 sits now
-73,000 miles
-Pinstripe
-Windows professionally tinted 20% all around
-Touch screen pioneer radio
-All pioneer speakers replaced stock speakers
-Interior speakers driven by kenwood excelon amp
-2 12" Pioneer Subs in a ported box
-Subs driven by 1200 watt hifonics Brutus amp
-Red LEDs in trunk flash when bass hits
-8000k HIDs in low beam and fogs
-Audi style head light strip
-Million color Underglow with interior glow to match
-Red interior lights
-Cold air intake
-Red calipers
-Front license plate relocated
-probably more






And here is the new sexy 08 Black GXP. Just hit 65,000 miles after the 3hr drive to get her home. The kenwood in it I looked up and its a $900 unit with navigation and Bluetooth and everything which is pretty cool, still have steering controls too. Still am trying to figure out what the rims are but the pontiac sticker covers the brand and I really like the sticker so Im refusing to pull them off! Also came 20% tint all the way around

Found the brand of the wheels today without removing the pontiac sticker! Wheels are Bazo B501 but they are the only available options on their website it 5x114 and 5x120 with 20 or 35mm offset the tires are also 255/35/20 so not the best fitment their compared to stock... some people dont pay attention to details and its such a same. still confused on how this bolt pattern works unless there's an adapter on it.

5x115 and 5x114 are basically the same, how do you think alot of guys run mustang rims on these cars.

I'd dump em for some 18's just because they are like rubber band.

five finger... guess i really didnt think that one all the way through with it being literally 1mm off and how small that is. its late and Im tired!

Love the car but I'm not a huge fan of the rims. They look heavy as well, not good for the life of the transmission.

Good luck with the car tho :th_thumb-up: and welcome to the world of owning a black car.. You'll most likely hate it after a few months

From Tru-Cool. I haven't seen temps over 180* since install, most of the time sits under 160-170*. Was 210-220 prior. You'll see what I mean, especially on a hot day. Just bypass the radiator as well.

i wasnt huge on the rims at first either, but theyve grown on me. theyre border line ghetto fab and not particularly my style but the best 08 black gxp i could find anywhere near me. and i keep being told that about black cars but i desperately wanted one... so i guess we will see!
