• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

my parents have huge speakers 15 by 45 i think and they have 2 they would JUST fix in my trunk im wondering if i take my sub box stuff out and put those in would it sound awesome or no?? they have 5 speakers and all dif sizes anybody no if it would sound good or what?

maybe, but home speakers won't last long in a car (they just aren't designed for the moisture you get) I have done it before (broke and in college) and they sound pretty much the same as the car audio line from the same company (cheap speakers sound cheap usually)

lol I remember when I was 16 I had a Ford Escort and put a Cerwin Vega home 15 in it and it was MEAN! Had an Autotek mean machine amp running it lol. Once I killed it I replace it with a Pyle 15 in the same box.... That thing was insane back then. Gotta love hatchback. Anyway I say go for it. Its fun seeing what works and what doesnt. But you probably will destroy them lol. All in fun tho :th_thumbsup-wink:

I think we can all admit to doing this. It's just a poor mans sound system.

I'm not saying that it won't work. You might get laughed at but sometimes functionality isn't pretty.

Like others have said though it won't last as long. Most house speakers run at 8 ohms. While most car speakers run at 4, 2, or 1 ohms. The majority being 4ohms. Just be careful.
