Good brakes?

if your up for new calipers upgrade to f bodys for the fronts, i love my R1 e line with scorched ceramic pads. ill never buy anything else from now on.

I bought R1's on Scott and others' recommendation. They're very good so far.

I also put on four calipers from PowerStop (staying with my stock 11.7" rotors). Also very good, but the powder coating leaves a little to be desired. Mine came lightly greased. I put a dab (not that kind of dab) in each caliper pin.

Get the F-Body powder coated calipers from Rock Auto, coupled with R1 Rotors and some premium ceramic pads and you'll be good. Replace the brake lines too with Goodrich SS lines and you'll love it!

Enjoy!

First off, I have no relationship with the company. That said, please look at FrozenRotors.com. This company cold-soaks brake rotors in liquid nitrogen, which reduces warping. I learned this lesson with my Ford Excursion. I was changing front rotors every 10-12K miles, until I got fed up. When I installed the frozen rotors, I went from 40K to 90K miles before they finally warped. Needless to say, the next set was also frozen rotors. I just installed them on my 04 GTP Comp Group. They may not be needed on the GP like they are on the Excursion, but to me it is worth the extra cost (about $100 each over AZ prices).

I've had great luck with Raybestos Advanced tech rotors, those things have held up to some intense abuse, and I haven't felt, seen, or heard anything from them.
