You have an exhust leak. Follow the smoke and sound and you will find it. Possible locations are o2 sensor, downpipe gasket, crossover flange, or rear manifold gasket, EGR.
 


have you checked the coolant levels? sounds loud for a stock gtp.... ill bet the smokes an exhaust leak though..
 


Sorry to thread bomb Im stuck in DC for a year with the military. Who ever is in DC Alexandria area PM me! I have plenty of free time and Id be more than happy to help spin a wrench hell we could go use the auto skills shops with lifts and anything else you could need ask around the site here Ive done everything on these cars at least once I can promise that! Ive owned 7 W bodies and engine or trans swaps are cake with a lift and I happen to know where to use on of them too.
