Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

This thread is for ideas and feedback only no bashing on what I am doing. Despite how unsafe, costly, or pointless you
may feel it is.

So last summer I looked at the door tag on my 05 GTP and noticed how heavy it is 4532lbs I believe. So I got to thinking
Less weight equals more horsepower to an extent. And with that in mind have begun a series of "mod's" to reduce weight
on my car. I removed the on-star box, the XM box, various peices of insulation and foam and hit a dead end. Taking from
my then job at a street rod shop I thought how fiberglass was a light weight alternative to metal if done right. So now
I amd working on stock looking fiberglass. Trunk, doors, and fenders.

I have the molds (inner and outer) for my trunk most of the way done. Just need a few minor blemishes fixed so it
will look nicer when I pop the finished piece out.

I know that no one makes fiberglass pieces for my car so it will truly be one off. I'm using stock pieces and making molds
Of them so I will be able to make as many copies as I want. I might even sell some after I make the first set for my car

I'm going off the sticker on the inside of the drivers door. Even if my car was only 3700 I would still be finding
ways to make it weigh less

The sticker on the door shows the weight with it fully loaded
Full tank of gas, 5 ppl in the car and the trunk full of luggage

regardless of what we think the car weighs, interested in seeing results. for further weight savings, remove the entire A/C system, entire sounds system, rear seats, gut the doors, power functions, etc etc...
and while weight savings help make the car faster, they don't give you more horsepower.

I think too many people thing HP = Speed. HP & Curve, TQ & Curve, Aerodynamics, downforce, gearing, and weight = acceleration rate vs. top end speed
