GM rear camber fix

Ok all, I made mention of this in a previous post but didn't have all the details. Here is what I have found:

GM Tech Bulletin # 08032A: Customer Satisfaction - Uneven Police Car Rear Tire Wear - Replace Rear Wheel Spindle Rods - (Jul 14, 2008)

Models: 2007-2008 Impala Equipped with Police Package (RPO 9C1/9C3)

Part # 19208347 Rod Kit GMPD price: $173.40/ Dealer quote: $223.69

It is essentially a shorter set (4) of rods that bolt up to the rear knuckle. You are still required to align the car and it is only listed for 07-08 Impalas but it is a W-Body. Since I haven't installed them on anything I can't guarantee they will fit our gp's but it's worth looking into when the alternative is an aftermarket adjustable lateral arm kit (CAP004) from BMR for $500. I hope this helps someone in the forum and if you do install them and get it to align properly please let us all know about it. Thank You

Thanks! I got your PM. I'll be interested in following this further to see if anyone has done this mod with success.

"Oversized Adjustable Lateral Arms" is the description on the W-Body store site, correct? If so, then is there an advantage to the aftermarket ones vs. the OEM parts if the car isn't lowered? Or are the OEM parts listed above not adjustable? Just trying to clear this up.

OEM parts are "suppose" to be adjustable to an extent, but they fail overtime cause they never really move much their whole life.

Doing the W-Body lateral arms is something you do when you have done every other suspension mod and are looking to round out the list. They really don't do much for you, unless you are daily road racing/autoxing the car and need the adjustability.

I have them because the GF is buying them for my B-day and I am one of those schmucks that wants to have every suspension mod possible done to his car.
