If i were to get a glasspack muffler like a cherry bomb to replace the stock resonator on an 04 gtp, what size would i get, and would it make a noticeable difference in sound?

Probably. How much is unknown. If you get one about the same size you might not notice to much of a difference. If you go any shorter it will get louder.

Longer the glasspack, quieter the car...and it'll sound better too...I stuck with my stock GM resonator and people ask me if I have a V8 all the time :p

same here im running the stock bazooka tube still people thing i gotta lot of engine work and its a V8 SUCKERS haha

blue what kind of muffs you running with your stock res? i was thinking about going glasspack to muffle it down some, and clean t up a bit, take the edge off some.

Flowmaster 40's with the stock GM Resonator...but I have Pacesetter's, No Cat, and custom 3" Piping all the way back from the Downpipe...plus a lopey cam :D

xp cam right? lol. i think that was in the video. well, i guess glasspack is ok on pipe. 3" all the way out if i plan on runnin 10lbs boost eventually?

I want to get the 40's too. It seems like a lot of people don't like them but I love the sound of the flowmasters

10psi is weaksauce :p LOL

Just keep the stock GM Resonator and save yourself some money...throw on some Flow40's and get a bigger Y-Pipe in the back...that'll give ya sound ;) take the cat out too...shouldn't cost you more than $200 IMO...if it does you don't have a good exhaust guy :th_thumbsup-wink:

Yup! I just tell all the ricer kids that I did a v8 swap. It's fun to watch them start counting...

I'm on a P-log setup with no cat, stock res and no mufflers. No rasp and not near as loud as you'd expect.

Flowmasters Suck! They are overpriced and still restrictive only thing they got for them is a sound deeper than stock. They're just like Sony you just pay for the name.

Go Magnaflow you won't be disappointed. :th_biggrin2:

Well...unless your making over 350WHP stock mufflers are still good and swapping mufflers is only good for sound anyways...no ones buys them for a performance increase...
