Giant Hornets Nest, Size of basketball. Help

better get rid of it once you knock it down, spray it then knock it down and throw a bucket over top with a brick on top of the bucket and a piece of wood underneath then come back the next day with a m80 and throw it under the bucket and put the brick back on it lol

I don't know where your located, but Id suggest NOT doing flames or anything like that. It's crazy dry and it doesn't take much to burn anything down. Around here its a class A infraction for so much as getting caught throwing a cigarette out the window.
Id stay with wasp spray, they make it that shoots like 20' or so. Hardware should have it.

But if your lucky and aren't taking part in this severe drought, carry on.

Ok, since Danielle came in with words of caution (spoiling our fun like women tend to do [j/k Danielle]) now you need to hose down everything in the area before lighting it on fire. So break out the hose so we can burn those bees!

Yeah I buy the spray that goes 20+ feet. It is quiet nice. If it is a large nest then buy like 3 to 4 cans and let loose on it from a distance. Or if you can hit the entrance of it from some amount of distance this should work to. Just have the cans ready because there might be alot of hornets in a nest the size of a basketball. Just go to town, if you feel like there putting the heat on you back off and say F it till the next day.

dont worry about getting stung unless your allergic it doesn't hurt that bad lol. i got stung twice with in the past 3 days, im use to bees all over working in a shop with a bunch of old mustangs all over then having to go out and get parts and there's bee's everywhere sucks but what you gonna do, they dont really bother you unless you stand by there hive for a while or try attacking there hive more then once, they wont come right at you maybe 1 or 2 will. so if your try and get there nest just do it quick and smart then let them settle and come back in like a half hour if you didn't get them all. like i said they will go back to where there hive was even if its not there.

Im in Michigan. Right now in the midst of this Arizona like heat wave. I told my girlfriend about bucket idea, she like it. But on the conservative side, the spray may be the way to go. Or spray, then knock it down and put the bucket over top with a brick or two on top. Let them bake for awhile.

The rpg might set a few things on fire...

C4 wouldn't be bad in little slices put onto the hive lol that would be hilarious. Like little cherry bombs going off

Get a cheap Garden Pump sprayer with a brass arm, Filter some UMO and Mix 50/50 with Gasoline, Use cotton string and Wrap a strip of cotton shirt to the tip, Soak in gas oil mix, Pump it up with the tip set on a semi jet/spray setting. Light tip, Aim, Pull trigger and watch the Awesomeness of a Bright, Long burning fire.

Do not try and blow it up or start it on fire since we have a drought going on lol. Just get some spray, grow a pair and unleash hell. You would be surprised how powerful you feel watching those bastards twitch themselves to death.

Why not do like the pro's

At night put a burlap sack over the entire nest and pull it down.
Go to your most disliked neighbors house and throw it on their porch. :th_thumb-up:

i use this as a kid to get em.
