Getting P0128 code in the summer

Hey all,

My SES code is P0128, the coolant level is good (also just had the LIM & UIM replaced, hoses changed in March). Before the SES light I noticed that occasionally when idling, the car starts to sputter as it is wants to stop and on a warm day like today(80 degrees) the temp was still reading 160 after driving around for 4 hours running errands. Does that point to the thermostat? More importantly, how critical is fixing this? I am scheduled to travel 3 hrs one way, total 6 hrs this weekend, so should I delay trip and get it fixed or head out and fix it when I get back.

Thanks.

if its only staying at 160, then the thermo is prolly bad, thats too cold.

Swap the thermo for a new one, it takes like 5 min, then bleed the cooling system and off you go
