Getting Cold

2005GTP

New member
I have a 2005 GTP and the heater will not blow hot air. The car has the dual zone controls and if I put it in manual mode and set both sides to 90 degrees it only blows slightly warm air. The coolant was a little low so I topped it off but no affect. Once the car warms up I notice that there are two hoses that go from the front of the engine and along the firewall. The top one is getting hot but not the bottom one.

Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you. Next question; how hard is it to do the heater core on a 2005 GTP? I will search on that subject and in the meantime I will try to flush the system to see if it opens up,

ive never done one on an 04+ but it shouldnt be too hard. its just one of those things id have a shop do ya know.

try pulling the heater hoses off the engine and either blow or use a hose to see if the heater core is still flowing or not.

removal will take hours on your back, and you will no doubt look like some thing out of a yoga class, it can be done, just lots of little bolts, and dont break anything.
