Finishing up the car and getting the final touches on it.
I'm gonna run:
zzp shortblock 9.9:1
Gen 3 ported manifold and m90
3.0" pulley
full 2.5" zzp intercooler with fmhe and 39 GPM pump
intense stage 2 cam with ls7 lifters
105 springs shimmed to 110
Rollmaster single roller (No plans to ever put a bigger cam in at this time, my mext move is a turbo)
Pacesetter 1 3/4" primaries wrapped front rear and cross over
built trans running 3.29 final
7/8 chain
42.5 injectors
Straight tube to the fender with a monster conical filter
Heads have been milled to .610 and ported. Stock valves. Modified retainers and new seals.

My only concerns are when I let the put the car around 1500 and let it sit there for about 10 seconds it heats up RAPIDLY to the point where it approaches 210+ degrees
also need to replace the snout gasket on the SC it has a small oil leak.

How do I make the best pass possible, good launch RPM??? Will be on street tires and 93 octane any idea what time to expect?
Zzp tune, thinking about possible meth injection for the pass because ill be running 93 or better depending on whatever is available at the track.

if the track is prepped well just rev it up and hammer on it. if they spin rev it up less. dont do a burnout on street tires. all they do is get slick and greasy. what cam is in the car? pretty hard to guess what its gonna run.

Sorry if it got lost in the list car is running an intense stage 2 cam. Its probably gonna run like ****. I have never floored the car at 0 even before all this! I don't think im a "skilled" driver. Thanks for the advice. Personally I dont care what it runs just really more looking for advice on how to run it!

i guess i dont know what a stage 2 cam is...have you ever had a scan gauge on the car or a tuner so you can see how it is running?

The stage two from intense racing, yes I have a scan gauge it broke im gonna buy a new one. Im unfamiliar with doing my owm tuning but open to it

I'd say a 13.3 at 103 ...12.9 if you are a good driver if you have better tires probably in the high 12's

Running at richmond or fredricksberg when I get a chance. I hope I do better than 13.3 or 12.9 with all the money ive got in it. I was hoping with high compression pistons theyd do me some justice. Ive poked around and seen guys on here with a hell of alot less running low 13's. I guess worst case I buy a turbo earlier than planned!
Will post what I get for time when I do run it.

is 93 Octane pump gas enough for 9.9comp with a 3.0 pulley?

(I'm not trying to imply it isn't because who knows... but sounds risky to me)

Every car is different... Everything plays a factor in what ive learned at the track... Altitude...Tires... Weight.. Launch...Low expectations is the key: dont go to the track thinking you will run a 11's or low 12's and barely can get into low 13's .. your setup isnt sh*t , but i would lean to low 13's and
High 12's to start

60' time is going to be a huge factor especially on street tires IMO.

Should be able to crack some high 12s id think with the 3.29s as long as its got traction.

I really dont know brother. The guy at intense told me I was at the bleeding edge of what the injectors were capable of and id have to watch the scan guage while driving for KR and injector load and thats the only way to know if I need bigger ones.

I agree whole heartedly, was just throwing that out there I appreciate all the advice I can get. Is an investment in drag radials a smart idea? I have never floored the car even with just an intercooler and 3.0" pulley. I have done some e brake burnouts about 10 years ago when I was in high school.

I'm not sure when the track is gonna open but I do want to go fully prepared to get the best time I can get for a first time racer. I wouldnt be surprised if I ran a 14 the first pass even on slicks. I have never even ridden in a car with more than 250-270 WHP Except a new 5.0 mustang one time.
