Ive been looking for a GEN V for awhile. eBay & Morad i couldnt find one...

and ive been eyeing the Classified on here for a bit. anyone know of a good place besides a junkyard to aquire one?

also whats all needed to convert to a GEN V? LIM, TB Adaptor

vacuum lines need to be changed around, its easier to get an L32 lim, and u will need a t/b adapter. Now is a good time to think about getting a N* t/b with N* adapter

spartan, if ur in largo, i wouldn't mind helpin ya pull one from a JY...i'd like to learn where a few are around here anyways...

I know of three for sale. One I have, one in Iowa and ...heck..maybe two in Iowa...lol Holler if you would like a hand in locating one.

The LIM can be cut from an L67 very easily to make it fit a Gen V. I do this all the time and it's very easy. Plug the ports to the coolant for the TB while there and open up the area under the TB on the side of the lim as well to compensate.

I have one for sale:
This is off an engine swap and I don't need the Upper Intake

PM me about it.

sorry, guy. not a for sale thread. you also don't have enough posts to post a for sale thread, so i'll just let people PM you about it.

i picked mine up from carpart.com for 300 with only 27,000 miles on it, check that out see what you can find. as far as what you need to do the swap... of corse the gen v, tb adapter (i would go with N* or ls1 and a LQ4 maf because the L67 tb has a smaller inside diameter than the gen v inlet and will choke the sc out), lim gaskets, sc gasket, 2 tb gaskets (1 for each side of the adapter), and just mod your own lim and save some $. also when you install it you will need to change around a few vacuum lines. that should be just about everything you need, i may have forgot a few small things but thats the jist of it.

Are there gains from swapping from a ported Gen III to Gen V even with same boost levels?

JW... /threadjack

yes there are gains to be made, the gen v is a more efficient blower. a gen v at the same boost level will have a lower outlet temp than a gen III.
