Just got a Gen V yesterday and wanna swap it with my current Gen 3 on my zzp stage 2 intercooler setup. How do i get the Gen V ready so i can replace my gen 3 with it? What needs to be done to the gen v? Thanks.

The outlet will be a little offest I believe and you'll need a TB adapter. Other than that it bolts right on.

You will need the Gen 5 bolts from zzp. The Gen 3 bolts for the S2IC are not long enough. But it fit perfect together. I have the ssic Gen 3 core on my Gen 5.

Okay cool. Thanks guys. Do I have to block anything off on the gen v? Seen some weird and new things that arent on my gen 3 and also I will be using my stock ported l67 Tb.

I sent you a pm on cgp w a link to the intercooler write up and check the genV stickie thread on there too, lots of good info.

If you are using a breather then you want to run a vac line from the nipple on the back of the genV to the tb. If you are doing the breather less mod then just cap that nipple off. If you are going to run the gen V evap then you'll need to flip the tb adapter upside down or the throttle cables will hit it. If you don't use it then youll have to tap and plug that hole.

the nipple on the back of the genV is blocked by the genIII core IIRC so it wouldn matter if you ran a line from it to the TB or not if youre running a breather with the setup...

Heh I guess that's why my car does that little sputter thing when I turn it off. Guess I need to make something to fix that.

Again do your research on this as Im trying to remember the research i did before I made my switch but in order to have a functioning non breather setup on a genIII core, you have to drill into the LIM somehow and re-route it to the valve cover then have one run behind the maf or something somehow...

Basically, after I read how to do it, I decided it would be easier just to breather it. Just cap everything and run a breather is what I ended up doing because keeping the vac system with a genV on a genIII core is a PITA...

If your not doing the breather then do this

But if the rear pcv is block then I think you need to run a front cover in the back with a breather or drill a hole and add a breather to the rear cover. I'm not 100% sure about that though. You might also be able to drill a small hole in the core if there is room to move the pcv hole over.
