Gen V and Alternator 99+ compatibility

Did some research and I see that my 97 Alt and bracket will not have enough clearance for the Gen V mod I'm planning to do I have a question I have a chance to grab a Alternator for a very low price out of a 99+ 3.8 Non Supercharged Grand prix along with the bracket will the setup work? Or would it need to be from a supercharged grand prix? Thanks!!
