gen 1 spoiler & sd air dam

Matt Palm

WHERES THE LAMB SAUCE?!?!
ok so who on here has what is stated in the title? please post pics and thoughts on them. I am really considering getting both and i want opinions first

I've had both a gen 1 and gen 2 with an sd air dam. You can't go wrong with a gen 1. They look great. I'm a fan of the sd air dam.

There are some in my fquick page. The air dam lines up pretty decent. Each car is a little different. For example my brothers fits better on his 03 than mine on my 99.

the only thing about the gen one is that it looks almost too big. i like the aggresivness of the lip idk if i want solid white or black and white two tone

The Gen 1 spoler is smaller than the SD spoiler is. Just use google images and look at pics of the 2. I'm planning on getting a Gen 1 for the silver car some time.

hahahaha that would make a awesome forum picture game one putting bird food in it or water for them

I liked the gen 1. It also does collects water aka bird bath. The gen 2 is fits good but it does expose more of the trunk area. It also has a mini bird bath. If you have some damage under the stock spoiler then you will most likely need to paint the trunk. As far as the SD air dam I prefer the two tone look to make it appear as if it was a factory piece.

gen 1 spoiler is definitely my favorite spoiler for a gp. i also like the sd air dam. adds some depth to the shallow front end of a gp

The gen 2's are a copy of the spoilers that came on the special editions and the daytona's.

And the 40ths. More specifically...

'00 Daytona 500 Edition
'01 Special Edition
'02 40th Anniversary Edition

However, the version from the factory will not line up with the holes for the ordinary stock spoilers. You will either need the entire trunk lid with the spoiler, or a trunk lid off a spoilerless SE so you can drill your own holes to install the Daytona/Special Ed/40th spoiler. The SLP Gen II copycat spoiler is a lot deeper than the factory ones so that it can be mounted to the regular stock spoiler holes.

welp i think im gonna wait for a spoiler till i come across a steal of a deal mainly because nothing is wrong with mine and im not totally convinced im in love with the gen 1. but im gettin the lip for sure adn the hood

Your comment about the Gen I looking too big is pretty accurate. I think it looks hideous because it makes an already bulky rear end even bulkier. The Gen 2, or Daytona/SE/40th accentuates the lines of the trunk lid/rear MUCH, much better.

only problem is finding a deck lid for it. i guess there are some people selling them on here with the decklids for like $200
