gauges not working?

I was wondering if for some reason the accesory wire in the ignition harness was cut in half, would it make the guages quit working. It is the last thing I touched in the vehicle, even though I would like to believe I would have forgot to tape it up, or solder it or watever. But hey it happens to the best of us.

Scenario:
Car cranks fine, guages does full sweep, everything else works including dic, then nothing from the guages not even tach or temp works.

Is there anything you guys can think of that would possibly be causing this? I am going to be tearing into the car soon to figure this out, so any help would be appreciated.

I would think if it is doing the full sweep, then they would have power. But it is odd that none of them are working for you.

I may need to upload the Grand Prix wiring schematic (its complete as far as I can tell) and see if that becomes useful here.

They started working magically today, when I cranked it up to pull it in the garage to tear into it. I am still going to see if I can tell what caused it, because it is my luck I will leave it alone and it will get worse progressively.

Probably a loose or frayed wire somewhere and those are the worst things to find. A wiring diagram will help. But good luck tearing into it.

Had a similar problem but the outcome was all three guages were ground together. When I grounded them separately they all worked.

i'd look more toward the Class II data wire feed from the bcm.
