1. Does the large frame member have to be removed/lowered to replace the oil pan gasket?
2. How in the world do you replace lamps in the dashboard computer module?
 


No, but you do need to jack the motor up and support it so the pan can clear the crankshaft.

For the DIC, the dash bezel that runs around the stereo/speedo needs to come off. It's clipped in. Once removed the DIC should have it's own clip that allows it to be removed. Not knowing what year/model car you have I can only speak on the 97-03 GT's. Not sure on the 04+ cars.
 
Thanks. After checking the I-net for pan gasket replacement I decided it's more than I want to do.
I have taken the DIC out in the past but it seems to me the lamps were hardwired in. Its been a while so don't quite remember. The car is a 99 GTP.
