Using higher octane than is needed will net you a tad less power due to its resistance to combustion and detonation. 87 in the slow-ass N/A I drive, 93 in my buddy's GTP. I never touch higher than 93 with any vehicle unless it's a track day or if I'm determining if KR is real or false.
I think it's about $3.60 for 87 here in NEPA, but I honestly don't even look anymore, just swipe the debit and daydream while it fills. I've got so many other things that can save or steal money. Quitting smoking saved me a ton, which immediately got wasted in gas on the twisty back roads
