hi every one is only 300k for a full gas tank i think this is not right im completly stock no gtp just a gt is how much the grand prix gt usely gets to a full tank of gas

So your foot tends to get in the gas doesnt it...

What RPM does it usually shift at when driving around normally?

This is of course ignoring the following:

Plugs, wires, air filter etc.

If those are all newish then i'd suggest check your FPR. Pull the vacuum line off the FPR and if you smell gas from inside the line, the FPR is prolly shot.

Congrats matt for understanding that jibberish. I read that over 5 times and still didnt know what the hell was going on. :th_shakinghead2:

I've interpreted far worse.....

But I only get 300 K per tank at the moment, but I'm always in the gas and I'm boosted.

Average person should get 400-500 km per tank at least....

i only get 300k as well i just change my oc sencer mu engine light is off now i got like a 10k boast but still very hard on gas i do kinda drive fast and its all in the city

o2 sencer

Will new plugs, wires, and air filter increase fuel economy? Cuz I drive a lot of highway, and I'm pretty gentle on the throttle, and I only get like 21 mpg.

New plugs – will restore lost mpg
New wires – probably not unless there very old/very high resistance and/or actually malfunctioning
New air filter – a solid no, a new air filter will not increase or restore mpg

I’d look towards replacing the front O2 sensor, they don’t last much past about 120k.

i just changed my O2 sensor and it didnt do much

Well, I would clean the MAF sensor next. Sometimes mpg lose is combo of small issues that build until the overall effect is noticed.

Other items (that are easy to check)
1) PCV valve – just replace it they only cost $2
2) Proper tire inflation. 30 psi is the very least you want on a cold (not driven for an hour) tire, this would be the factory recommendation. I aim for 33 psi on a warm (recently driven) tire in the winter and 36 psi in the summer.
3) EGR – despite people hate of this emission control device, it actually improves mpg. I’d start by cleaning the carbon out of it.

I did the U-Bend, Plugs, and wires all at once and I got an extra 1-2 MPG...Went from 14 in the city to about 16....As for highway mileage, not sure, I don't do enough highway traveling

i need plugs, wires, probably pcv and a maf cleaning. and in the summer ive averaged over 24 mpg. but im mostly rural and suburb areas, city driving kills my milage.
